Non-Profits We Love: Pitch In For Baseball


When it comes to getting the word out about the awesome non-profit organizations in the baseball and softball worlds, we get pretty excited. (If you missed our last non-profit feature, we gave some love to the great team at Keep Playing Baseball.) It's all the more near-and-dear to our hearts when the subject matter is equipment, because, well, gloves are a serious passion for us, and we'd love to see a world where every ballplayer had one.

That's where our shout-out to Pitch In For Baseball comes in. If you're not familiar with what these folks are up to, it's definitely worth checking out. Their hard work is making baseball and softball equipment a reality for countless kids around the world who wouldn't otherwise have access to it -- inspiring stuff, right?

From partnering with the Yankees to stepping up to the plate with disaster relief, PIFB is doing big things and making an enormous impact. Plus, they make joining the cause by donating your used equipment super easy.

Pitch In For Baseball® (PIFB) is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides new and gently used baseball and softball equipment to boys and girls in the United States and around the world who want to play ball but lack the equipment to do so. Over the past 10 years, PIFB has donated more than $5 million worth of equipment to 500,000 under-resourced kids in nearly every state in the U.S. and 80 different countries internationally.
